Milk-based rice pudding that can be served for breakfast, dessert, or as a sweet snack. It is served during holidays as feast of transfiguration, and Ascension day. Usually people try to find an excuse to prepare this creamy texture and delicately sweet pudding.

  1. Bring 1 cup water to a boil in a 4-quart pot. Stir in rice; reduce heat to low and cook, covered, until water is absorbed – about 15 minutes. Make sure rice doesn’t burn or stick to bottom of pot.Add the 6 cups of milk to the boiled rice and continuously stir while still at medium heat for another 15 minutes or until the mixture thickens. Then, add 1 cup of sugar and continue stirring for another 5 minutes. Once the sugar is fully dissolved, remove from heat and add the rose water. Pour the mixture into individual bowls and sprinkle cinnamon on top of it.
