Filling
  1. Cook the Beef on a low heat, stirring often until browned, break off the large lumps as it cooks. Add the butter, onion and spices. Cook covered on medium to low heat until all the liquid is gone and the meat and onion is cooked. Adjust seasonings. Remove from heat and let it cool completely.
Dough
  1. Mix the bulgur with the spices and a little bit of cold water and knead until the bulgur becomes moist and absorbs the water. Gradually add the meat and start kneading until you have a soft dough. Divide your dough in to two.
  1. On a greased tray spread the mixture evenly, top it with the filling. Put the second part of the dough on the meat by taking little portions from the meat shaping it with your hands and cover it evenly. With a knife cut the meat diamond shaped and pour 3/4 cup oil on it. Bake for about 30 minutes at 180 C. Serve with yogurt.
